Questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know before requesting a poem. If your question is not here, just ask.

What occasions do you write poems for?

Any occasion where ordinary words fall short. Weddings and anniversaries, funerals and memorials, births and baptisms, birthdays, graduations, retirements, apologies, proposals, and quiet thank-yous. Bryce also writes Christian testimony poems and commissioned poems for churches and organizations. If you can describe the moment, he can write for it.

What information do I need to give you?

To write your poem, Bryce needs a brief description of the situation and what you want to say, the name of the person the poem is for, and some information about your relationship with them to make it personal. Share a few memories, how you know each other, and anything you would like woven in. If you have a preferred tone or form, or a deadline, mention that too. The request form asks for each of these.

How does pricing work?

Every poem has a starting price, listed on the Services & Pricing page. The final price depends on length, complexity, and how quickly you need it, and Bryce confirms the exact price with you before any writing begins. There are no surprises after the fact.

How do the deposit and payment work?

A 50% deposit is required up front to begin your poem, and the remaining 50% is due after the poem is delivered. Payment details are arranged directly with Bryce when you reach out. This website does not process payments and has no checkout.

How long does a poem take?

Turnaround depends on the length and occasion, and Bryce will confirm a delivery date with you before he begins. If you have a deadline, tell him in your request.

Do you write poems that are not religious?

Yes. Bryce is a Christian poet first, and that shapes the care he brings to every piece, but he writes poetry of all kinds for people of every background. If you would like a poem with no faith content at all, simply say so. Your poem will be written respectfully, in the voice and tone you ask for.

Do you write in rhyme and meter, or free verse?

Both. Bryce writes traditional, structured poetry with rhyme and meter as well as free verse. The sample poems show his traditional, rhyming style. If you have a preference, tell him. If you are not sure, describe the feeling you want and he will suggest a form that fits.

Can I ask for changes after I receive my poem?

Your poem should feel right to you. If something is off, tell Bryce and he will talk it through with you.

How will I receive my finished poem?

Delivery is arranged directly with Bryce when you reach out. Tell him how you plan to use the poem, whether it will be read aloud, framed, or printed in a program, and he will deliver it in a form that fits.

Can you write short poems live at an event?

Yes. Bryce is available as a live poet for weddings, parties, markets, church gatherings, and community events. Guests give him a name, a word, or a memory, and he writes a short three-to-five-line poem for them on the spot. Live poems start at $10–$25 each. Dates, travel, and availability are arranged directly with Bryce when you reach out.
